How Mc Laren Cars Made it in Sports Car History

Since Mc Laren's team joined Formula 1 racing in 1966, a total of 106 teams have come and vanished. And two most infamous cars, Mc Laren and Ferrari have stood their way out since 1966. The giant car models have marked great contributions with the introduction of McLaren F1 (1993-'98) and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (2004-'09), and so far and still remained to be the greatest maker of sports racing cars.

McLaren F1 is a stylish and renowned sports car which is made by Mc Laren Automotive. It is recognized as the 'fastest road car in the world' by March 31, 1998 after the car's exterior was redesign by Peter Stevens. It sets the record speed of 231 mph (372 km/h) with rev limiter on, and 242.95 mph (391 km/h) with rev limiter removed.

Anyone will be amazed with the car's functionalities with its signature design and technologies. As compared with any other sports car, the auto features a ruggedly streamline form and is superiorly lighter. It also has a powerful engine designed to fit in the track's race.

The advanced design of this car has won numerous racing competitions including a record of 166 winnings out of 668. The popular sports automobile also holds the title for 12 drivers' titles, eight F1 constructors' championships, Indy 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Mc Laren racing is one of the most triumphant teams that joined the league of Grand prix motor racing. In fact since 1963, it is one of the prestigious car labels who have created some of the most iconic Formula 1 automobiles in the sports history. From the inner to outer design of these cars, they are built to win in the race.

One of the best cars in line with the famous sports car brand includes Le Mans 24 Hours which is formed to win in any race. It is regarded as the oldest sports car which has joined in an endurance racing. It is famously tagged as 'the Gran prix of endurance and efficiency' as the car can run for a period of 24 hours without stoppage and without any mechanical problem.

To be a Le Mans Driver is not easy. In fact, to be a driver, he has to pass an endurance test with the race. For those who are Le Mans fanatics, the car will celebrate its 90th year in the sports car industry in 2013.

Goldman to pay $12 million to settle "pay-to-play" probe

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs Group Inc agreed to pay about $12 million to settle charges that it violated "pay-to-play" rules in a case involving undisclosed campaign contributions to a former Massachusetts state treasurer who was a candidate for governor in the state, U.S. securities regulators said on Thursday.

A former vice president in Goldman's Boston office, Neil Morrison, worked on the campaign of Timothy Cahill around the same time that he was also soliciting underwriting business from the Massachusetts treasurer's office, the Securities and Exchange Commission said.

Goldman settled without admitting or denying the charges. The SEC also charged Morrison, and the case against him continues.

A Goldman spokesman, Michael DuVally, said in a statement the firm detected Morrison's activities, fired him, and alerted and cooperated with regulators.

"We accept responsibility for the consequences of his unauthorized actions under the terms of the settlements announced today and are pleased to resolve these investigations," DuVally said.

A lawyer for Morrison did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Cahill was indicted earlier this year on corruption and fraud charges, to which he had pleaded not guilty. He could not immediately be reached for comment.

According to the SEC, Morrison conducted campaign activities for Cahill, including fundraising, drafting speeches, and speaking to reporters, and some of this work was done from Goldman's offices during business hours.

That work disqualified the firm from bidding for municipal underwriting business with certain issuers in the state. But Goldman went on to participate in 30 prohibited underwritings, earning it more than $7.5 million in fees, the SEC said.

"The pay-to-play rules are clear: Municipal finance professionals that use their firm's resources to campaign on behalf of political candidates compromise themselves and the firms that employ them," Robert Khuzami, who heads the SEC's enforcement division, said in announcing the case.

Five Realizations that Helped Me Write Regularly [Habits]

Five Realizations that Helped Me Write RegularlyAs with most things, the best way to get better at writing is through practice. Whether it is part of your job or just something to do in your free time, Buffer's Joel Gascoigne offers tips to make writing part of your routine.

I've written over 50 articles on [my] blog over the last two years, and I've recently successfully written an article every week for the last five months. Luckily people have noticed and seem to enjoy the articles, and as a result I get a few people asking me how I've kept up blogging as a habit. This triggered me to think about the key things that helped me.

Don't get hung up on research

I used to believe that I needed some very solid research to back up any thought I penned down in an article. I also frequently found myself thinking that my ideas or experience were not interesting or valuable enough for others.

I've since realized that by simply writing from a personal experience perspective, sharing lots of details about my startup, personal projects, or thoughts about life, I was usually creating content that was interesting for people to read.

Delaying an article to "spend longer with it" usually just means it won't get written

I used to create a draft in Tumblr every time I had an idea for a blog post. Then I'd let it sit there for a while, because I believed the idea wasn't fully formed yet, or I didn't have enough points to share about the topic. I believed that by delaying, the perfect post would eventually come to mind.

What I've realized is that there is no better time to write than when the thought first enters your mind. I should only write it at another time if I simply can't open my laptop and write it all the way through right at that moment. The content is freshest when it first appears in my mind, and in that state I write the best posts.

I've gotten much better at this over time, but I have 10s of drafts lying in Tumblr from the early days when this caught me time and time again. If you delay, the likely outcome is that it just won't get written.

We should fear not publishing articles, rather than fearing bad outcomes

Over time, the concept of "shipping" started to really fascinate me. I forced myself to, despite it being uncomfortable, "ship" everything I did earlier and earlier. Whether a product, a blog post, a speaking opportunity, I'd quit delaying and just put it out there or say "yes" to speaking.

One of my biggest learnings in the last year is that there is immense power in doing a huge volume of work. If I write a blog post every week, I learn a massive amount about what works, and it gives me much more inspiration for more articles. Also, if I write each week, I'm gradually reaching more people, growing my connections on Twitter and Facebook, and putting myself in a better position overall. I know now that if I don't publish one week, I'm missing out on these benefits. Therefore, I actually fear not shipping.

When there is a strong connection between writing and my higher level goals and purpose, it's easy to write

One of my aspirations is to eventually be a fantastic advisor and angel investor for other startups. I want to be the kind of advisor who has been through many different experiences, and has a lot of thoughts about startup challenges and solutions.

This higher level purpose is what often helps me go through the tougher times, since I need that experience first-hand in order to help others. It's also what helps me continually write, because I know that if I write a blog post about a topic, it is always very clear in my mind from then onwards. If someone asks advice on something I've written about, it's easy to help them and add a lot of value.

Choosing a schedule for writing is a great way to ensure regularity

Finding a pattern and rhythm for writing is really helpful. If I fear that I'll fail to put something out there, but I attach my writing to a higher level purpose, then it is much easier to establish a regular writing habit. In this way, I've been able to write consistently once a week for the last five months.

In the early days of my blog, I set a rule that I would always write on Sundays, and always publish by noon. This worked very well, and it also meant that people began to notice my pattern and look forward to the content. I follow a similar pattern now?I always write on the second day of my weekend (here in Tel Aviv that's been Saturday, normally it is Sunday).

Are there any realizations you've had while working towards a regular blogging or writing schedule? I'd really love to hear what worked for you.

Franchise Investment Support Increases Due to Loosened Credit and

SOUTHBURY, CT?(Marketwire ? Sep 26, 2012) ? With more and more people seeking business ownership options in this challenging job market, many players in the franchise industry are working hard to open the doors of opportunity to business ownership ? ensuring that those aspiring entrepreneurs can become franchise investors.??We?re seeing positive trends both in lending and education,? says Brian Miller, COO of TES Franchising LLC.?

?First, industry associations like the International Franchise Association (IFA) are aggressively educating the lending community on the powerful investment opportunity franchising offers,? says Miller.??The key message here is that it is oftentimes safer for lenders to consider franchise investments because they?re backed by a proven system of support.?

Secondly, aspiring business owners interested in learning about franchising can reach out to very credible resources of education, such as a franchise business coach, to help them identify whether business ownership is right for them and to help them understand the financing options available.

Franchise business coaches with TES work directly with strategic business partner Guidant Financial.?Both TES and Guidant share a common vision of how to help new and passionate business owners get the financing they need.?TES coaches help prospective entrepreneurs seek out financing early in the process of opening a new business to get a perspective on what is available and what they can afford.

Along with helping people identify financing options, TES coaches also offer guidance and training on franchising and business opportunities, taking clients through a ?discovery process? to identify their income, lifestyle, wealth and equity goals.?Clients are then presented with business concepts to explore how those complement their goals, needs and expectations.

?The financing environment is not as cumbersome as it has been in the past five years,? says David Nilssen, co-founder and CEO of Guidant Financial.??Credit has become more accessible in the last 12 months and we are finding great success through unsecured loans and the Small Business Administration (SBA) loan programs.?

?Understanding the financing options for aspiring business owners makes business ownership an even more viable option for people in career transition,? said Miller.??And it?s been our experience that lending institutions can be even more open to provide funding for a franchise.?

?We believe the best franchise buyers understand their options and can make an informed decision. We work diligently with TES business coaches and invest considerable time with franchise seekers to educate them about their options,? says Nilssen.??Many clients have the ability to capitalize their businesses.?They simply need to understand what their options are, and explore creative ways to obtain funds.?
